-Hochschule Offenburg ist hosting elektro:camp(«2012.05») on May 4th+5th. Elektro-Camp is a hacker's meetup on smart metering, home automation and renewable energies. Several european open source smart metering projects are going to be there (see below for a list). The projects are going to show their recent developments and discuss current topics. Much more important then the demos: you can get in touch with the heads behind the projects and exchange thoughts and ideas.+Hochschule Offenburg is hosting elektro:camp(«2012.05») on May 4th+5th.  Typical building blocks that are being used in the projects are ATMEL based micro controller boards, plug computers, LAMP systems, RRD tool etc. While there will only be little programming and soldering on the camp itself, this is daily "business" within the projects. Electro-Camp is therefore the perfect chance for everyone who always wanted to know, how to build your own smart meter or who is looking for an open source project as [project|thesis] or simply as a means of boredom prophylaxis. Typical building blocks that are being used in the projects are ATMEL based micro controller boards, plug computers, LAMP systems, RRD tool etc. While there will only be little programming and soldering on the camp itself, this is daily "business" within the projects.
